A weekly podcast from two collectors with too many shelves and too many opinions. We crack chase variants on-mic, call out scalper culture, and debate whether your $12 common is next year's $400 holy grail.
Obsessives.
“We started collecting because we loved characters. We kept collecting because we couldn't stop.”
Grail is hosted by two people who met in a Facebook group arguing about whether a $40 sticker price on a $12 Pop constitutes theft. Spoiler: it does. We've been arguing ever since — about value, about culture, about what it means to collect in the age of algorithmic scalping.

Marcus has tracked secondary market prices for six years. He built a spreadsheet before he built his first shelf. Specialty: spotting which commons are undervalued before the algorithm does.

The Manifesto:
No Gatekeeping.
We built Grail because collecting deserved a voice that wasn't trying to sell you something or make you feel like you started too late. These are the four principles we record by.
“A $12 common today. A $400 holy grail tomorrow. The difference is knowing which shelf it's sitting on right now.”
Collecting is for everyone.
The hobby belongs to the kid with twenty bucks and a dream, not just the guy with a temperature-controlled vault. We will never make you feel late to the party.
Scalpers are not collectors.
Buying 40 units to flip them at 4× is not a personality. We name the culture, we call out the tactics, and we tell you exactly how to beat them to the shelf.
The secondary market is data.
Price is information. We treat it like analysts, not gatekeepers. If a Pop doubled in value, we want to know why — and we'll tell you before the next one does.
The community is the collection.
Your shelf is a biography. Your grail is a story. We're here to hear it, share it, and build something that outlasts any individual Pop.
What You'll
Hear Every Week.
Four formats. One obsession. Every episode is built around a single question: what does this Pop mean to you, and what is it actually worth?
Crack the Chase
Live on-mic unboxings of chase variants and exclusives. We react in real time — no edits, no second takes. If it's a common, you'll hear the disappointment.
The Price Is Wrong
Secondary market deep dives. We track price movements, identify undervalued commons, and call out inflated exclusives.
Straight from the Source
Funko designers, shop owners, OG collectors. We ask the questions the community actually wants answered — no PR fluff, no talking points.
